Kadayif Recipe

Ingredients: 400g kadayif, 200g margarine, 200g pistachios or walnuts, 6 glasses sugar, 4 glasses water, 4-5 drops of lemon juice.

Preparation

1. Spread kadayif in a wide receptacle.
2. Melt 250g margarine and pour over kadayif. Mix thoroughly.
3. Divide kadayif into two portions.
4. Spread the first half onto an oven tray.
5. Sprinkle 200g of nuts (pistachios or walnuts) over the kadayif.
6. Spread the other half of the kadayif on top and press with hands.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 200°C.

Preparation of the Sugar Syrup

1. Pour 6 glasses of sugar, 4 glasses of water, and 4-5 drops of lemon juice into a pot.
2. Boil until it reaches the desired consistency.
3. Pour the warm syrup over the baked kadayif.
4. Cover the kadayif tray with a lid or tray and let it sit for an hour.

Ready to serve.
