Mediterranean Spiced Lamb Stew with Bodrum Foods Spices

Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb shoulder, cubed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 large tomatoes, diced
- 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
- 2 medium carrots, sliced
- 2 medium potatoes, cubed
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish

- Bodrum Paprika – 2 tsp
- Bodrum Ground Cumin – 1.5 tsp
- Bodrum Oregano – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Za’atar – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Sumac – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Turmeric – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Cinnamon – 0.5 tsp
- Bodrum Nutmeg – 0.25 tsp
- Bodrum Black Pepper – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Chili Flakes – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Allspice – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Thyme – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Garlic Powder – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Rosemary – 1 tsp
- Bodrum Bay Leaves – 2 leaves
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
- Add minced garlic and lamb cubes. Brown the meat on all sides.
- Stir in all the spices. Cook for 2 minutes to release the aromas.
- Add tomatoes, broth, carrots, potatoes, and bay leaves. Season with salt.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat. Cover and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours until lamb is tender.
- Remove bay leaves. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
